GOALS OF OUR MINISTRY

  • Develop a reading plan to read from Creation to Jesus Christ in the village schools during Bible reading time.
  • Present the Gospel through Bible storying in villages.
  • Train Chorti leaders to lead the community fellowships, while preparing them to reproduce the training to train others.
  • Train local national Chorti believers to lead evangelistic Bible studies in Chorti villages.
  • Develop and implement an on the job training program of Bible studies for village leaders.  This would include simple discipleship training and leadership training.
  • Equip village fellowship leaders to reproduce the way they lead their Bible study.
  • Lead the village leaders to develop a plan for fellowship and celebration together.
  • Work with local Honduran village leaders to provide training events for village leaders and Bible study leaders.
  • Prayer walk and share Bible Stories with a bridge to the Gospel.
  • Present the Gospel through community development projects
    • Medical/Dental Teams
    • Water Projects through cooperation with Rotary Projects
    • Habitat Housing through cooperation with Habitat
  • The Chorti believers will be equipped in simple Bible training.
  • Volunteers will teach and demonstrate hygiene and health training to the communities in an effort to improve the health of the community.
    • What to do for fever.
    • Teaching rehydration techniques using locally available material
    • Good basic hygiene—hand washing, using latrine, and water purification.
  • Through the efforts of locally trained Hondurans, share information and strategies to improve their productions of food for their families by using the SALT method (Sloping Agriculture Land Technology).
  • Continue teaching in the communities programs that will help in the prevention of illness.
    • Importance of immunizations
    • Programs regarding infant and children growth & development
    • Good nutrition utilizing available food.
  • Work with local physicians and volunteer medical professionals to provide sick care and treatment when needed.
  • Assist with transportation when needed for diagnosis and treatment of health issues.
  • Work with local dentist and volunteers to provide dental care.
  • Work in the community schools with the teachers to assist in providing school supplies for those that are not able to obtain them
